The origin of Delhi Public School (DPS) dates back to 1941 when the school embarked upon its long journey first as Church High School, then to Naveen Bharat school in 1947 and finally at Mathura Road in 1949.
DPS Mathura Road was the only school till DPS R.K.Puram came into being in 1972. Over 150 schools that followed are simple assertions of the strength that is DPS. Yet what has remained unchanged is the zest and spirit to achieve and to excel.
DPS schools aim to be the best in the world and are unique in contributing to the World Education Development. Founded in the year 1949 the DPS Society today runs one of the largest and most professional school chains in India and abroad. It has nearly 150 schools across the globe.
Most of the DPS Schools whether they be in India or abroad are affiliated to CBSE which is the largest educational board in the country.

Mr Shunglu joined the IAS in 1962. Mr Shunglu worked as Special Secretary in the Ministry of Power, and Secretary in the Departments of Company Affairs, in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and in the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion. He also worked as Comptroller and Auditor General of India.

Admiral M.M. Chopra worked with the Indian Navy. He has been Executive Director in Bombay Dyeing and Mfg. Co. Ltd. and Director on Board of Steel Strips Ltd, Steel Strips and Wheels Ltd, Indian Acrylics Ltd, Pan-Music Ltd and Bradco Ltd.

A Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in London, Mr Pramod Grower is presently Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

He has been Chairman of Central Board of Secondary Education and President of the Council of School Boards of India. He has been on the International Advisory Editorial Board of Asia-Pacific Journal of Teacher Education and Development, the Hong Kong Institute of Education, Hong Kong. He has served as Director, National Institute of Education Planning and Administration.

A post-graduate in Law from the University of Cambridge, Mr Indrajit Seth is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Accountancy of England and Wales.
