DPS Paradip Refinery , under the aegis of Delhi Public School Society (DPSS),New Delhi is a state-of-the-art technology driven school, and the only DPS situated in the heart of Paradip within the boundaries of the “Gateway to Eastern India” which is Indian Oil Corporation Limited Paradip Refinery. The DPS Family with its transcontinental identity, and with the guiding motto of ‘Service before Self” and a holistic approach to education is spread across over 150 schools nationally and has its footprint in over 20 schools globally .

Indian oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Delhi Public School Society (DPSS) ,New Delhi on 14th February 2014(Friday)for setting up a Co-educational English medium school at Paradip Refinery Township . The school was formally inaugurated on 1st April 2014(Tuesday) for academic session 2014-15 by Shri SanjivSingh ,who is currently the Chairman of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd , on the occasion of Utkal Divas. The School management is headed by Mr V. K. Shunglu, who is the Chairman of DPSS. The school’s stupendous achievements in this short span in both academic and co-curricular activities have been rewarded by being awarded the “BEST UPCOMING SCHOOL OF ODISHA” in 2016 at the prestigious 7th Asia Education Summit & Awards 2017held at Hotel Hyatt, New Delhi on 9th March 2017(Thursday) .The awards were based on a comprehensive market research study and opinion surveys conducted by Worldwide Achievers. This annual education summit and award ceremony event in its 7th year running is organized by Worldwide Achievers which is a global analytical company providing ratings, research, and analysis services in association with “India Today Television” as Media partner and “Achievers India ” as Magazine Partner.

The school is an initiative of Indian Oil Corporation Limited run through its voluntary organization .DPS Paradip Refinery has a School management committee (SMC) comprises of Board of Management (BOM) and a Local Management Committee (LMC) . The Board of Management (BOM) set the policy of the school and guides the Local Management committee ( LMC) in its day to day activities of the smooth running of the school .
